Female Athlete of the Year
Aspen Wooten compiled a dominant 107-10 high school career record (~91.5% win rate) across singles and doubles while helping lead Lake Nona High School through one of the most successful eras in program history: three FHSAA state championships (2025🏆, 2026🏆🏆), six consecutive state finals appearances, and recognition as both the 2026 Lake Nona High School Female Athlete of the Year and the 2026 OCPS Metro Conference Female Athlete of the Year (Spring).
Aspen Wooten launched OMG Tennis Inc. after experiencing firsthand how quickly young athletes can lose connection to sports when financial hardship, instability, or lack of support enter the picture. After her family's home flooded before relocating from Memphis to Orlando, Aspen began noticing how many talented young athletes quietly disappear from sports spaces because of barriers people rarely talk about openly. Those experiences reshaped how she viewed leadership, belonging, and opportunity in youth sports.
Simultaneously, she maintained elite-level national and international junior competition through USTA, ITF, ATA, ITA, and other premier circuits, competing in some of the most prestigious junior events in the world: the Orange Bowl, Eddie Herr International, Winter Nationals, National Clay Courts, National Hard Courts, Sugar Bowl, Bobby Curtis Championships, and other nationally ranked events featuring many of the nation's top junior players.
Known for her high tennis IQ, aggressive all-court style, and advanced doubles play at the net, Aspen developed a reputation as a high-level doubles specialist with a high-velocity serve often viewed as a major offensive weapon, allowing her to finish points aggressively and excel in fast-paced team and tournament environments.
Balancing this level of national competition alongside a full traditional brick-n-mortar high school schedule is relatively uncommon in elite junior tennis, where many top players pursue homeschool or academy-based pathways to accommodate year-round national and international competition. Aspen previously trained at Tennis Memphis-Great Base Tennis with Steve Smith, and Evert Tennis Academy before returning to the traditional school pathway at Lake Nona. Jason Gilbert is her current personal coach.
Unlike many traditional youth programs, many OMG Tennis experiences are intentionally peer-led, creating spaces where young athletes encourage, mentor, and grow alongside one another in environments that feel welcoming instead of intimidating.
🧪 The Grind Labs
The Grind Labs began as informal peer-led weekend sessions built around music, mentorship, match play, confidence-building, and creating a judgment-free environment where young athletes could simply show up and grow together.
As Aspen's visibility in tennis and leadership has grown, especially after being named the 2026 Orlando Female Athlete of the Year (Spring) and Lake Nona High School Female Athlete of the Year, she has become increasingly intentional about using her platform to help younger athletes feel represented, confident, and seen.

Dual-Sport Varsity Athlete
Beyond tennis, Aspen serves as Varsity Basketball Team Captain (11th and 12th grade) at Lake Nona High School and competed in AAU basketball with the Orlando Basketball Club (OBC). She balanced both varsity sports across all four years of high school, demonstrating exceptional time management, competitiveness, and athletic versatility.

More than building tennis players, Aspen hopes to help young people feel visible, valued, and connected to opportunities they may once have believed were out of reach.
